Pop Secret 500 Results

Hello Angels,

Since everyone else is carrying on about the race to the championship, I figured it was about time that I joined the hoopla, but with a different twist…Let’s talk about the race to the Charlie’s Angels’ Fantasy League Segment Two Top Angel.

Last week, Thin Man made a bold statement about how much of a lead that he had, well, he’s backed that up and has mathematically locked the Second Segment up for the Top Angel spot. That said, the UnNamed One has been gaining momentum and points and is not that far from locking up the runner-up position. Jill might have something to say about that though. She is just 133 points behind, with Kris just 19 points behind her.  So, while the number one spot is locked, there are still several positions still up for grabs.

Here are the results from this week’s Pop Secret 500 at Fontana raceway in California.

Today’s GOLDEN CABOOSE recipient is Tiffany, whose drivers, unfortunately for her, had severe problems in competition.  Your worst driver is Greg Biffle who finished 36th, while Dale Earnhardt Jr., finished 34th. Casey Mears and Kevin Harvick finished 29th and 28th, while your best driver is Jeremy Mayfield and his 16th place finish. Because of all the poor finishes, your average finish is a very disappointing 28.6.

Julie, you didn’t do much better. Jeff Gordon was your worst driver with his 37th place finish, while Earnhardt finished 34th. Bobby Labonte finished 20th, with Jimmie Johnson finishing 14th. Your top-driver is Carl Edwards with his sixth-place finish.  Your average finish is 22.2.

Jill, like Julie before you, Gordon and Earnhardt are your worst drivers with their 37th and 34th place finishes. Johnson finished 14th, Kurt Busch finished 12th and your top driver is Edwards with his sixth-place finish. Your average finish is 20.6.

Madison, your worst driver this week is Earnhardt and his 34th place finish. Harvick finished 28th, while Matt Kenseth finished 22nd. Busch finished 12th, while your top driver is Edwards and his sixth-place finish.  Your average finish is 20.4.

Dylan, you and I tie for this second to last race of the second segment.

My worst drivers are Gordon and Earnhardt. Johnson finished 14th and Edwards finished sixth. My top driver is Mark Martin and his third-place finish.

Your worst driver Dylan is Earnhardt with his 34th place finish.  He is followed closely by Mears and Harvick who finished 29th and 28th respectively. Martin finished third, while your top driver is Elliott Sadler and his second win of the season.

Our average finish is 19 even.

Thin Man, your worst driver is Gordon and his 37th place finish. Mears finished 29th, while Busch finished 12th. Your top two drivers are Ryan Newman in fifth and Sadler in first. Your average finish is 17 even.

Mr. X, your worst two drivers are Gordon and Mears who finished 37th and 29th respectively. Busch finished 12th, while Martin and Kasey Kahne finished third and second respectively. Your average finish is 16.6.

UnNamed One, your worst driver is Biffle and his 36th place finish. Kenseth finished 22nd, while Busch finished 12th. Your top two drivers are Robert Yates teammates, Dale Jarrett and Sadler, who finished eighth and first. Your average finish is 15.8.

Kelly, your worst two drivers are the Labonte brothers. Bobby finished 20th, while Terry finished 19th. Jeremy Mayfield finished 16th, while Busch finished 12th. Your top driver is Kahne in second.  Your average finish is 13.8

Kris, your worst driver is Earnhardt and his 34th place finish. Busch finished 12th and Joe Nemachek finished 11th. Your top two drivers are Kahne and Sadler, who also happen to be the races top two drivers.  Your average finish is 12 even.

Bosley that leaves you to be this week’s TOP ANGEL AWARD winner for yesterday’s Pop Secret 500 in Fontana. You accomplished this task by having all five of your drivers finish in the top-20. Your worst driver is Stewart, who finished 18th. Busch finished 12th, while Rusty Wallace finished 10th. Your top-two drivers are Newman in fifth and Kahne finishing second. Congratulations on your TAA award-winning average finish is 9.4.

Don’t forget to go to the ESPN.RPM Stockcar Challenge Web site to see where you stack up after the 14th of 15 races in Segment Two.

Next week’s race is another night race at the Monte Carlo 500 at Richmond International Raceway. Don’t forget to change your drivers before 7:30 p.m. Eastern time on Saturday.

Good luck next week, Angels,

Charlie
