Hello Angels, Okay Angels, I’m putting out an “All-Points-Bulletin” for three of teammates. We’re three weeks into the final segment of the 2004 Charlie’s Angels’ Fantasy League, and I haven’t heard from Natalie, UnNamed One or Tiffany. If any of you hears from them, please don’t hesitate to let me know. That said; let’s talk about this week’s race. Congratulations to Ryan Newman on completely dominating the MBNA America 400 at Dover International Raceway. In case you didn’t know, Newman led 325 of the 400 laps and won his second race of the year. Jeff Gordon however took over the top-spot in the chase for the 2004 NEXTEL Cup Champion by finishing third. Speaking of chases, let’s look at how we stacked up against each other for the second race of Segment III. Minus our three Angels, we all didn’t do that badly. In fact, our average finish, which I’ll talk about later, is the highest it’s ever been. Unfortunately we always have to have a GOLDEN CABOOSE. This week, that Angel is Bosley. Bosley, this happened because Kasey Kahne blew an engine with only 13 laps completed in the race. He finished 42nd. Kevin Harvick and Carl Edwards finished 19th and 18th respectively, while Dale Earnhardt Jr., finished ninth and Kurt Busch finished fifth. Busch is only one-point behind Gordon in the championship chase. Your average finish is a not-so-bad 18.6. For me, I share three drivers, Kahne, Edwards and Harvick, with Bosley. They finished 42nd, 19th and 18th respectively. Jimmie Johnson finished 10th, while Gordon was my best driver with his third-place finish. My average finish is 18 even. Sabrina, your worst two drivers are Scott Riggs and Robby Gordon. Riggs finished 31st, while Robby Gordon finished 30th. Your remaining three drivers, Johnson, Jamie McMurray and Tony Stewart finished 10th, eighth and sixth. Your average finish is 17 even. Kris, your worst driver is Joe Nemachek who finished 35th. Elliott Sadler finished 20th and Edwards 18th. Earnhardt finished ninth, while your top-driver is race winner Newman. Your average finish is 16.6. Dylan, Kahne’s 42nd place finish was your worst driver finish of the day as well. Harvick finished 19th, while Earnhardt and McMurray finished ninth and eighth respectively. Your top-finisher is Dale Jarrett who finished fourth. Your average finish is 16.4. Mr. X, like those of us before you, Kahne is also your worst driver. Edwards finished 18th, while Earnhardt and McMurray finished ninth and eighth respectively. Mark Martin was your top driver with his second-place finish. Your average finish is 15.8. Madison, all I need to say is Kahne… Edwards finished 18th, with Earnhardt and McMurray finishing in ninth and eighth. Your top-driver is race winner, Newman. Your average finish is 15.6. Kelly, Kahne was not your worst driver…Congratulations. Your worst driver is Terry Labonte with his 27th place finish. Harvick finished 19th, while Bobby Labonte finished 14th. Your top-two drivers are Jeremy Mayfield and Stewart who finished seventh and sixth respectively. Your average finish is 14.6. Jill, Brenden Gaughn is your worst driver with his 22nd place finish. Edwards finished 18th, with Johnson in 10th. Earnhardt placed ninth, with Jeff Gordon, and his third-place finish, as your top driver. Your average finish is 12.4. Thin Man, Casey Mears is your worst driver with his 24th place finish. Edwards finished 18th, while your remaining drivers, Busch, Jeff Gordon and Newman finished fifth, third and first respectively. Your average finish is 10.2. That leaves you Julie to be our TOP ANGEL this week. You did that by having Edwards as your worst driver. Bobby Labonte finished 14th, with Mayfield, Stewart and Newman finishing seventh, sixth and first respectively. Congratulations on your TAA winning average finish of 9.2. Speaking of average finishes, our combined team’s average finish is a very low 11.77. That is the lowest that I’ve seen it in the three years of Charlie’s Angels Fantasy League history. Congratulations Angels. Next week’s race is the EA Sports 500 at Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama. Don’t forget to see where you stack up against all of the Angels on the RPM.ESPN Stock Car Challenge web site. Good luck Angels, Charlie |
